These pictures I am sending you all shows the gross disrespect and insult to the Indian National flag by this so called 'spiritual leader' and self proclaimed 'GOD' Mataji Nirmala Devi. This disrespect to our country's flag shows that she has definitely no respect or love for the country that gave her so much and her husband who was an IAS officer and chief of the SCI  (he is seated next to her in the pics).. Such a shame..I do urge and plead with all Indians who deeply love their country to

forward the photos to as many people as possible so that it does catch the eye of someone higher up in the Indian Govt who can really take some action against this cult.

         Pls dont keep this mail in your mail box as I feel keeping this in mail box itself is an insult to our country. PLZ FORWARD TO ALL U KNOW...”

My reaction and reply to him was which I want to share with you as well:

In My opinion, She and Her disciples are the true Indians! At-least for those who think Bharat Mata is non-other than Goddess Durga. While a Hindu pronounce, "Guru Bramha, Guru Bishnu, Gurudeva Maheswara, Gurudeva Parambrhma Tosmoi Sriguruve Nomo!” then for him the Goddess Durga become his or her Gurudeva. So the Equation becomes as follows:

Bharat Mata = Goddess Durga= Matasree Nirmala Devi.

So, why she need to show any respect to the Indian Flag? It's her own symbol. It depends on her own wish where to Keep it, where not. Let’s salute her, she might save us from those Pro-Pakistani Indians  who doesn't want to sing , Bande Mataram!'

                  I'm not going to delete the picture from my computer . It's another type of Indian Hindu Religious Superstition. Nothing going happen to me or my country for keeping this picture here.

Rather, I need it for any future references. Let's sing the great Song, Bonde Mataram.....Keeping her picture in front of us!!! And be happy to have Mata Nirmala Devi in this great Country!

It's our own belief system, of which we are proud enough, that has created her!

 I'm keeping one post on VANDEMATARAM  by obaidullah Qasmi (obaidullah_qasmi@hotmail.com) in markazulmaarif@yahoogroups.com FOR any future reference:.Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind has rightly supported the Fatwa by Darul Uloom Deoband suggesting Muslims not to sing Vande Mataram on religious grounds. To Tagore, the mothers in Bande Mataram are the Hindu goddesses and therefore it is foolish to force the people of other religions to sing their praises.

Vande Mataram, has been taken from the novel Anand Math written by Banerjee, a fierce ANTI-MUSLIM and PRO-BRITISH fundamentalist. His novel is replete with anti-Muslim slogans and praises for British rule where he declares Englishmen our friends as our rulers and asks Indians to go against them, aiming at eliminating Muslims and demolishing all the mosques and Muslim shrines.

Therefore, it was opposed by many national leaders including Nehru, Subhash Chandra Bos. Ram Manohar Lohia went further saying that the novel is a blot on Indian national struggle because it welcomed the British.

Tagore rejected the song as one that would unite all communities in India. He also said:"The core of Vande Mataram is hymn to goddess Durga: this so plain that there can be no debate about it. ..but no Mussulman can be expected patriotically to worship the ten-handed deity as 'Swadesh' [the nation].

‘বন্দেমাতরম’ নিয়ে

“দারুল উলিম দেওবন্দ হচ্ছে পরাধীন ভারতে এমন এক ঘটনা যে ঘটনা ১৮৫৭-র স্বাধীনতার যুদ্ধের ইতিহাসকে  সরাসরি ১৯৪৭-এর স্বাধীনতা অর্জনের সঙ্গে জুড়ে দিয়েছে। ১৮৫৭-র স্বাধীনতা যুদ্ধের সময় যুক্ত প্রদেশের এক ছোট শহর শামলীর মানুষ কয়েকজন মুসলমান সাধু পুরুষের নেতৃত্বে নিজেদের শহরকে বেশ ক’দিন বৃটিশের অধিকার থেকে মুক্ত করে রেখেছিলেন। এঁদের নেতা ছিলেন হাজি ইমদাদুল্লাহ। এঁর সহযোগী সেনাধক্ষ্য দু’জন ছিলেন আল ইমাম মহম্মদ কাশিম নানোতবী এবং মৌলানা মুহাম্মদ রশিদ আহমদ গঙ্গোহী। মতাদর্শ দিক থেকে এঁরাও ওয়ালিউল্লাহের ভাবশিষ্য ছিলেন। যদিও শিষ্য পরমম্পরাতে ইমদাদুল্লাহের নাম কার সঙ্গে জড়িয়ে আছে আমরযেজেনে উঠতে পারিনি। বিদ্রোহ ব্যর্থ হলে হাজি ইমদাদুল্লাহ মক্কা চলে যান এবং সেখানে তিনি আন্তর্জাতিক খ্যাতি লাভ করেন। অন্য দু’জন তখন ১৮৬৭ খৃষ্টাব্দে দিল্লির উত্তরের এক ছোট্ট শহর , বর্তমান উত্তর প্রদেশের সাহরনপুর জেলার দেওবন্দ মক্তবকে দারুল উলুমে উন্নীত করেন। এক দশকের মধ্যে সমগ্র যুক্ত প্রদেশে বেশ কিছু দেওবন্দি মাদ্রাসা প্রতিষ্ঠিত হয়। শতাব্দের শেষ অবধি চট্টগ্রাম থেকে পেশোয়ার পর্যন্ত এর অনুমোদিত অসংখ্য মাদ্রাসা প্রতিষ্ঠিত হয়।  ধর্ম সংস্কারের পক্ষে দেওবন্দের বার্তা খুব দ্রুত বহির্বিশ্বেও ছড়িয়ে পড়তে শুরু করলে আরব দেশগুলো থকেও ছাত্রদের স্রোত বইতে শুরু করে । ক্রমে এশিয়া, আফ্রিকা, ইউরোপ, আমেরিকার দেশগুলোতেও দেওবন্দের অনুমোদিত প্রতিষ্ঠান ছড়িয়ে পড়তে শুরু করে।

    সিপাহি বিদ্রোহের ব্যর্থতাকে হজরত মৌলানা কাশিমী বা তাঁর সহযোগীরা একটি দিনের জন্যেও ভুলে থাকতে  পারেন নি । তাঁর নিজের হাতে গড়া শিষ্য মৌলানা মাহমুদ হাসান সাইখুল হিন্দ ১৯১৩ খৃষ্টাব্দে ব্রিটিশদের উৎখাত করবার জন্যে আরো একটি বৈপ্লবিক  ছক কষেন। রাওলাট প্রতিবেদনে যেটিকে বলা হয়েছিল ,  ‘Silken Letters’ দুর্ভাগ্যবশত এক ছক ফাঁস হয়ে গেলে সাইখুল হিন্দ তাঁর দেওবন্দী সহযোগী মৌলানা হুসেইন আহমেদ মাদানি, মৌলানা ওজাইর গুল এমন আরো কয়েকজনের সঙ্গে ধরা পড়েন এবং ভূমধ্য সাগরের দেশ মাল্টাতে নির্বাসিত হন। ১৯২০ খৃষ্টাব্দে মাল্টা থেকে ছাড়া পেয়ে দেশে ফিরে এসে তিনি জমিয়ত উলেমা-ই হিন্দের নেতৃত্ব গ্রহণ করেন ,যে সংগঠন এর আগের বছর তাঁর দেওবন্দী শিষ্যরা গড়ে তুলেছিলেন। ততদিনে মহাত্মা গান্ধী ভারতবর্ষে এসে গেছেন এবং জাতীয় কংগ্রেসের  আন্দোলনের নেতৃত্ব বহন করেছেন। খিলাফত আন্দোলনের সূত্রে শুরু থেকেই জমিয়ত কংগ্রেসের সহযোগী সংগঠনে পরিণত হয়। ১৯২৬-এ জমিয়ত তার কলকাতার এক সভায় ভারতবর্ষের সম্পূর্ণ স্বাধীনতার দাবি উত্থাপন করেছিল, যে দাবি কংগ্রেস উত্থাপন করেছিল আরো তিন বছর পরে লাহোর অধিবেশনে”।

    বন্ধুরা, ‘মাদ্রাসা শিক্ষা ব্যবস্থা এবং ডিব্রুগড়ের অসম জামিউল উলুম মাদ্রাসা’নামে আমার এক গবেষণা মূলক বড় লেখা  গেল বছর প্রকাশ গুয়াহাটির বাংলা কাগজ , ‘নাইন্থ কলামে’ প্রকাশিত হয়েছিল/ পুরো লেখা আমি ‘রামধেনু’তে টাইপ করেছিলাম বলে এখানে পোস্ট করা গেল না। এর থেকে একটা প্রয়োজনীয় উদ্ধৃতি মাত্র তুলে দিলাম। এতে দেওবন্দ সম্পর্কে আপনাদের আর কী ধারণা আছে জানি না, কিন্তু এদের বিরুদ্ধে স্রেফ ‘বন্দেমাতরমে’র বিরুদ্ধে ফতোয়া দেবার দায়ে দেশদ্রোহীতার অভিযোগ কেউ তুললে কাতুকুতু পায় বটে। যে সংঘ পরিবার বৃটিশ না তাড়িয়ে   মুসলমান তাড়াতে বেশি ব্যস্ত ছিল, তাদের সংগঠনগুলো যখন এনাদের ‘দেশদ্রোহী’ বলে তখন আমার রবীন্দ্রনাথের ঐ কথাগুলোই মনে পড়ে , “ ... আমরা সকলেই যে বিশেষরূপে পবিত্রতার চর্চা করে থাকি তা নয়, অথচ অধিকাংশ মানব জাতিকে অপবিত্র জ্ঞান করে একটা সম্পূর্ণ অন্যায় বিচার , অমূলক অহংকার, পরস্পরের মধ্যে অনর্থক ব্যবধানের সৃষ্টি করা হয়। এই পবিত্রতার দোহাই দিয়ে এই  বিজাতীয় মানব ঘৃণা আমাদের চরিত্রের মধ্যে যে কীটের ন্যায় কার্য করে তা অনেকেই অস্বীকার করে থাকেন। তাঁরা অম্লান মুখে বলেন , কই,  আমরা ঘৃণা করি! আমাদের শাস্ত্রেই আছে বসুধৈব কুটুম্বকম। শাস্ত্রে কি আছে এবং বুদ্ধিমানের ব্যাখ্যায় কী দাঁড়ায় তা বিচার্য নইয়, কিন্তু আচরণে কী প্রকাশ পায় এবং এ আচরণের আদিম কারণ যাই থাক তার থেকে সাধারণের চিত্তে স্বভাববতই মানবঘৃণার উৎপত্তি হয় কিনা, এবং কোনো একটি জাতির আপামর সাধারণে অপর সমস্ত জাতিকে নির্বিচারে ঘৃণা করবার অধিকারী কি না, তাই বিবেচনা করে দেখতে হবে।” ( নূতন ও পুরাতন; স্বদেশ ) 

‘বন্দেমাতরম’ নিয়ে আমি এক পূর্ণাঙ্গ নিবন্ধ লেখার তালে আছি। আমিও মনে করি আনন্দমঠ একটি বৃটিশপন্থী মুসলমান বিরোধী উপন্যাস। কেউ পালটা মন্তব্য দিলে আমি প্রাসঙ্গিক প্রমাণ যোগাব। কিন্তু আপনাদের কেউ কি আমাকে এই তথ্য দিয়ে সাহায্য করতে পারেন যে রবীন্দ্রনাথ কোথায় এর বিরুদ্ধে লিখেছিলেন? আমি জমিয়তের মারকাজ-উল-মারিফ-এ (markazulmaarif@yahoogroups.com) ওদেইদুল্লাহ কাশিমীর ( Obaidullah Qasmi; obaidullah_qasmi@hotmail.com) একটি পোস্ট পড়লাম। যেখানে তিনি লিখেছেন, “Therefore, it was opposed by many national leaders including Nehru, Subhash Chandra Bos. আজ ১০নভেম্বর,০৯-এ একটা সূত্র পেলাম যেখানে বলছে, রবীন্দ্রনাথ সুভাষ বসুকে একটা চিঠিতে একবার লিখেছেনঃ

"The core of Vande Mataram is a hymn to Bharat Mata( Mother India): this is so plain that there can be no debate about it. Of course Bankimchandra does show Durga to be inseparably united with Bengal in the end, but no Mussulman [Muslim], christians and Arya Samajis can be expected patriotically to worship the ten-handed deity as 'Swadesh' [the nation]. This year many of the special [Durga] Puja numbers of our magazines have quoted verses from Vande Mataram - proof that the editors take the song to be a hymn to Durga. The novel Anandamath is a work of literature, and so the song is appropriate in it. But Parliament is a place of union for all religious groups, and there the song cannot be appropriate. When Bengali Mussulmans show signs of stubborn fanaticism, we regard these as intolerable. When we too copy them and make unreasonable demands, it will be self-defeating."

In a postscript to this same letter, Rabindranath says:
"Bengali Hindus have become agitated over this matter, but it does not concern only Hindus. Since there are strong feelings on both sides, a balanced judgment is essential. In pursuit of our political aims we want peace, unity and good will - we do not want the endless tug of war that comes from supporting the demands of one faction over the other."

'India is a democratic country unlike Muslim nations' Mr Sriram India might be a democratic country, but people like you are not. There are hundreds of Muslim Majority Country who follows West Minister System of Governance.There is no point of saying that,'Tomorrow the Indian flag cannot be changed just because some Muslims will find Ashoka Chakra or the Saffron colour Islamic. ' Because no Muslim ever raised such question in the history. But, the song in question was in debated from the very beginning of it political journey. Any patriots, those who love his or her country man can explain with love and care  to Muslims that "Vandana' does not necessarily mean bowing down to anyone. It only means praising, just like Iqbal did in the song 'Sare Jahanse Accha.' Though, personally I think that song ( Iqbal's) is more chauvinistic in nature.Muslim do not bow down before Muhammad as well but, pray that all praises be upon him. So, why do they object if the word is explained with deep love. But, who cares for love in Hindu brigade? They will kill hundreds of countryman, still will be recognized as 'only contractors' of patriotism! In Bangladesh where they don't have any fare of loosing identity they happily sing such song calling country as mother. I can't html codes here. please check Sabina Yasmin's song in  banglamusic
