It's something like National Song of Barak valley

আমার ধারণা আপনাদের এ গানটি শুনে ভাল্লাগবে। যদিও আমার কিছু বিরুদ্ধ মতও আছে এ গানটি নিয়ে। এ অনেকটা বরাকের জাতীয় সঙ্গীতের মতো। যেন শিল্পীরা অসমিয়া করণের জবাবে বরাকে বাঙালি করণের চেষ্টা করছেন। এটা কোনো পক্ষেই কোনো স্বাস্থ্যকর প্রবণতা নয়। এ রাজ্যের দুই উপত্যকা ও পাহাড়ি জেলা দুটো যে বহু ভাষা, বর্ণ ও ধর্মের এক বৈচিত্রময় আবাস ভূমি এ আমাদের সব্বারই স্বীকার করা উচিত। সে যাই হোক আপনারা এ গানটি শুনুনঃ

I hope all of of you will love to listen this song.Though personally I have some negative notion about the song.

      It's something like National Song of Barak valley. The Composers are trying to give an answer to the process of Assamisation in a form of Bengalisation of Barak valley.It's not a healthy practice from either side. Both the valley of the sate and the hill districts are home of Divers Culture, Ethnicity and Religion . All of us have to recognize it.

     Anyway, these are all my personal opinion. You , better , listen the song.

It's that 'ANANDA&' making 'PUZA' to take shape of a social art form

Send this eCard !Though I don't believe in any religion I have love for Vaisnabite School of Hindu religion. Because It speaks about selfless surrender to a greater cause.As Geeta Says, "Kormonye Badhikaroste Ma Pholeshu Kodachon. . ." Oposit to that the Sokti or Tantrik School of Hindusm is all about 'Wish Fulfilment' which only make man and their God selfish. None of them do anything without any cost. I've hatred for Hindu Bengali's in General for not giving Due Honour to the teachings of Sri Chaitanya and Nityanada. I hate to recognize that 'Durga Puza' is the 'National Festival' of the Bengalis. Less than half of total Bengali population on the earth observe it.
But, one had to recognise that the way 'Puza' evolved in course of time it has little to do with religion or religious believe now a day. Any festival always has a greater social significance. It goes beyond its ritualistic beliefs or philosophy. Society needs festivals for its own survival. I remember, in the first part of Nineties, once one of my friend from Kolkata wrote letter to me asking, How can People observe puza when Thousand of our countryman is fighting for existence in Latur, in Maharastra after the severe earthquake their. My reply was, if we stop to observe festivals than how these people can will be motivated for the struggle of existence? Why should they struggle for survival on the earth if there is no festival at all? If there is no 'ANANDA' at the end.
It's that 'ANANDA' making 'PUZA' to take shape of a social art form like 'BORDIN' or 'BRZILIAN CARNIVAL' .EID of Islam failed here. That's why I too can't resist being the part of the spirit. But, I would have been happy enough if all the Bengalis try to replace 'PUZA' with NAVAVARSH or 'POILA BOISHAKH'. In India it appears like distant dream. But, In Bangladesh people are trying to do so. Assamese Bihu is a unique example of a secular Community festival. But, the Dates or days chosen by the various Bihu organisers are killing the social essence of the festival. Those should be fixed for all.

Barak-Brahmhaputra-Gomati Moitri O Matribhasha Utsab

“বরাক-ব্রহ্মপুত্র-গোমতি মৈত্রী ও মাতৃভাষা উৎসব”

মূলতঃ ত্রিপুরা সরকারের তথ্য ও সংস্কৃতি দফততরের মন্ত্রী অনিল সরকারের উদ্যোগে গেল ৬ ও ৭ জুন,০৯ তারিখে গুয়াহাটির শংকর দেব কলাক্ষেত্রের শিল্পগ্রামে অনুষ্ঠিত হয়ে গেল দু’দিনের “বরাক-ব্রহ্মপুত্র-গোমতি মৈত্রী ও মাতৃভাষা উৎসব” । সহযোগি আয়োজক হিসেবে ছিল ই জেড সি সি ( কলকাতা), এন ই যে ও সি সি (ডিমাপুর , নাগাল্যাণ্ড), শ্রী মন্ত শংকর দেব কলাক্ষেত্র ( গুয়াহাটি) , মোহনা ও অসম কালচারেল ব্রিগেড। উত্তর পূর্বাঞ্চলের সমস্ত ভাষিক গোষ্ঠির লোক ঐতিহ্যকে এক মঞ্চে তুলে ধরার লক্ষ্য নিয়ে এর আয়োজন করা হয়েছিল । ধামাইল বিহু সব এক মঞ্চে একাকার হয়ে গিয়েছিল। কবি সম্মেলনো উৎসবের অঙ্গ ছিল।

  উৎসবের উদ্বোধন করেন অধ্যাপক অন্নদা চরণ ভাগবতী। তাতে মূখ্য অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন অসম সাহিত্য সভার প্রাক্তন সভাপতি কনক সেন ডেকা, বিশিষ্ট অতিথি ছিলেন মামনি রয়সম গোস্বামী। সম্মানিত অতিথি হিসেবে আরো উপস্থিত ছিলেন রত্ন ওঝা, স্বপ্ননীল বরুয়া, ভি হেকালি ঝিমমি এবং অধ্যাপক উষা রঞ্জন ভট্টাচার্য।

বরাক উপত্যকার আন্তর্জাতিক খ্যাতি সম্পন্ন মনিপুরী নৃত্যগুরু নীলমাধব মুখার্জীর টানা ত্রিশ মিনিটের নৃত্য উৎসবের অন্যতম আকর্ষণ ছিল । ৯১ বছর বয়সী এই নৃত্য গুরু অসম সরকারের অবসর প্রাপ্ত আধিকারিক। শিল্পী পেনশন পান। ‘বরাক রত্ন’ পুরস্কারেও সম্মানিত হয়েছেন ( ১১-০৬-০৯) 

By our Staff Reporter GUWAHATI, June 2: The Tripura government will be organizing the Brahmaputra- Barak- Ganga- Gomti Maitri Aru Matribhasha Utsav at Shilpagram, Guwahati from June 6. The two-day Utsav will start with a poets' meet which will be inaugurated by Annadacharan Bhagawati.  Minister of Information, Culture, Tourism and Higher Education, Government of Tripura, Anil Sarkar will be the chairperson of the poets' meet. Kanak Sen Deka, ex- President of Asom Sahitya Sabha, will be the chief guest and Dr. Indira Goswami will be a special guest. (News Clip from The Sentinel
